We are looking for you to join our team in the IT Department at our headquarters in Idstein as a Network Security Engineer (f/m/d) as soon as possible.
Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Design, implement, and manage secure and resilient network infrastructures using:
- Checkpoint firewalls
- Sophos UTM/XG appliances
- Zscaler ZIA/ZPA cloud security
- Aryaka SD-WAN solutions
- Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking
- Aruba wired and wireless infrastructure
- Cisco Nexus data center switching platforms
- Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and security.
- Develop and enforce firewall rules, VPN configurations, and access control policies.
- Support secure connectivity for remote users, branch offices, and data centers.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, and security teams to support hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and incident response.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, threats, and best practices.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise network and security engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Checkpoint, Sophos, Zscaler, Aryaka
- Cisco Meraki and Aruba networking
- Cisco Nexus switches (e.g., 5K/7K/9K series)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and BGP/OSPF.
- Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as:
- CCSA/CCSE (Checkpoint)
- Sophos Certified Engineer
- Zscaler Certified Professional
- Aryaka Certified Network Professional
- Cisco Meraki CMNA
- Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Data Center (CCNP DC)
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise change management.
