Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Provide legal advice to senior management on commercial, operational, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of retail-related agreements, including:
- Commercial and retail contracts
- Lease agreements
- Franchise agreements
- Distribution and sales agreements
- IP and licensing agreements
- Advise on intellectual property, brand protection, marketing, and advertising matters.
- Support retail expansion projects and store-related legal matters.
- Ensure compliance with German and European laws, corporate governance standards, and internal policies.
- Partner closely with the Group Legal team of the international parent company, based in China, on cross-border legal and compliance topics.
- Manage external legal counsel where required.
- Advise on employment law matters and support HR on employee-related legal topics.
- Lead and develop a small legal team (3 team members).
- Drive pragmatic and business-focused legal processes and risk management solutions, with a minimum on-site office presence of three days per week required for this role.
What you bring:
- Fully qualified lawyer with comprehensive expertise in German law (required).
- Several years of relevant professional experience in an international law firm and/or an in-house legal department.
- Mandatory retail industry experience, including retail contracts, commercial leases, franchise agreements, and IP and licensing matters.
- Experience in international and cross-border business environments.
- Experience in working with an international parent company structure in Asia is considered an advantage.
- Fluent German and English language skills are required for the role.
- Providing commercially and strategically oriented legal support to the business.
- Conducting negotiations and legal communication at senior stakeholder level.
- Applying a pragmatic and solution-oriented working approach in legal matters.
- Managing and aligning internal and external stakeholders, including leadership responsibilities.
- Operating effectively within a dynamic and fast-paced international business environment.
- Utilizing modern AI-based technologies and systems to support legal processes and efficiency.
